In HAVELSAN, with the decision of the Board of Directors, Dr. After Mehmet Akif Nacar was appointed as the General Manager. Muhittin Solmaz, the R&D and Engineering Director of Education and Simulation Technologies (EST), is appointed as the Deputy General Manager of Education and Simulation Technologies EST, vacated by Nacar. Ömer Özkan, Deputy Director of the Software Technologies Research Institute of TÜBİTAK BİLGEM is appointed as the Assistant General Manager of Information and Communication Technologies, vacated by Alper Şeker in HAVELSAN.
Muhittin Solmaz, who graduated from Hacettepe University Computer Engineering Department with a degree, started his professional career as a System Analyst at Koçbank; He continues in HAVELSAN, where he has been working in different positions since 2004.
Solmazt; Prior to his duty as Training and Simulation Technologies Deputy General Manager, he worked as Education and Simulation Technologies R&D and Engineering Director, R&D and Engineering Group Manager, Programs Group Manager, System Engineering and Integration Group Leader, R&D Project Manager at HAVELSAN. Solmaz also took part in the Peace Eagle Project.
Ömer Özkan, who was appointed as the Deputy General Manager of Information and Communication Technologies vacated by Alper Şeker in HAVELSAN, graduated from the Computer Engineering Department of Boğaziçi University. Özkan worked at different levels in the private sector and public sector.
Özkan, who took various positions in Garanti Teknoloji, Ziraat Teknoloji, Borsa İstanbul and TÜRKSAT, served as a board member at PTT A.Ş. Özkan, who has been the Assistant Director of the Institute at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Software Technologies Research Institute since 2016, has worked in areas such as software development and life cycle, process improvement, digital transformation, e-Government and smart cities. Özkan assumed the governance role in CMMI Level 5 assessment studies in 2017 and 2020.
