MKE has signed a memorandum of understanding with Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, Poland’s state-owned defence industry group, in the field of air defence systems. The MKE PGZ agreement marks MKE’s second country partnership in Europe for the TOLGA Close-In Air Defence System.
The memorandum was signed during MSPO, the 34th International Defence Industry Exhibition held in Kielce, Poland. Under the cooperation, the two sides plan to carry out joint work on the integration of short-range air defence systems as well as non-kinetic countermeasure systems.
What Are MKE and PGZ Planning in Air Defence?
MKE and PGZ will work to close capability gaps in existing air defence systems and improve the interoperability of different systems. The cooperation covers the Turkish and Polish markets as well as potential export markets.
The parties will also bring together their existing air defence capabilities to develop solutions tailored to different user needs.
TOLGA Detail in the PGZ Agreement
The memorandum signed with PGZ is MKE’s second country partnership in Europe under the TOLGA Close-In Air Defence System. MKE’s first country partnership in Europe for TOLGA was with Hungary-based HT Division in 2026. The parties signed a memorandum of understanding for the integration of TOLGA onto unmanned ground vehicles.
As part of this work, TOLGA’s 20 mm weapon system was integrated onto the 6×6 KATICA unmanned ground vehicle developed by HT Division. The integration was announced during EUROSATORY 2026, held in Paris from 15 to 19 June 2026.
MKE is showcasing its air defence systems as well as land systems and ammunition solutions at MSPO, held in Kielce from 8 to 11 September 2026.
