Russia has successfully fired a Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missile from Plesetsk today, hitting a hypothetical target at a firing range in Far Eastern Kamchatka. Russian Ministry of Defence stated that the missile hit its hypothetical target with high degree of precision, proving the missile’s capability once again. 22,7 meter-long Topol-M was designed and produced by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology. The three-stage, solid-propellant missile has an operational range of 11 thousand kilometers.
