Amec Foster Wheeler, a multinational consultancy, engineering and project management company headquartered in London, has been awarded a $ 43 million contract by the UK Ministry of Defence to provide research and technology (R&T) services to the UK's Naval Nuclear Propulsion Programme (NNPP). The company announced the contract on 17 January. The five-year contract involves critical areas of capability such as materials performance, materials science, thermal hydraulics, modelling, code development, and non-destructive testing and examination.
