Laboratory OK, Next Station: Tests

ASELSAN left a milestone behind in HISAR-A Project. Laboratory tests have been completed at HISAR-A Air Defence Missile System Infrared Seeker Design and Development Project which is being carried out within the company. Now it's the field test turn is on the route.

Infrared Seeker prototypes developed for HISAR-A tested rigorous performance, environmental conditions and hardware tests within the scope of design validation activities. The work continues with the delivery of Flight Prototype in the direction of missile integration testing activities. The IR seekers developed for HISAR A and HISAR O missiles became the first domestic air defence missile seeker following the Stinger Missile Infrared Seeker developed earlier by the company.

Within the framework of the project which is carried out within the ASELSAN and Roketsan co-operation, the low and medium altitude air defence missiles are being developed with indigeniously. Designed against low altitude threats, Hisar-A has an effective range of 10 kilometers and an effective altitude of 5 kilometers.
