UTC Contribution to KF-X

United Technologies Corporation (UTC) has been selected to supply the environmental control system as well as several other components for Korea Aerospace Industries’ (KAI's) KF-X multirole fighter jet. 

The company said in a news release that along with the environmental control system, it will also manufacture the air turbine starter and flow control valve for the KF-X. UTC also supplies the environmental control system and the air turbine starter for KAI's T-50 training aircraft.

The KF–X project seeks to produce 120 fighter jets with domestic technology with the first prototype planned in 2022.
