Taiwan will be the launch customer for Rockwell Collins' TruNet AR-1500 networked communications airborne radio system. The company announced the deal on 4 February, under which Taiwan’s Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) is to manufacture the radio under licence while customising its waveforms to address its operational requirements.

TruNet AR-1500 was designed based on AN/ARC-210/Talon advanced communication technologies to boost the ability to share tactical information, such as data, imagery, as well as voice and video communications, securely in real time.
