Unsuccessful Trial of Iran

Iran recently announced that the satellite launch attempt failed. The rocket, launched with a satellite load, could not reach orbit.

Iranian Ministry of Communication said in a statement that the carrier rocket could not reach the required speed for the trajectory and the launch failed in the third stage. No explanation was given about the factors that caused the failure. In the trial held on January 15th, the communication satellite named “Payam (Message)” was conveyed as a payload.

Western states, particularly the United States, are concerned that Iran's use of satellite launch technology in the field of nuclear-warhead carrying intercontinental ballistic missile capability development.
