Eight F-35A Lightning II were included in the US Air Force (USAF) inventory as a result of Turkey's removal from the F-35 program, according to a post on the US Department of Defence’s website.

The United States, which will change its platforms in line with the needs of the USAF, aims to operational the aircraft by 2026.

At the beginning of June, the US Senate Armed Services Commission raised the issue of adapting the F-35 to the USAF configuration.

On the other hand, it was stated that Turkey, which is involved in the production of F-35 components, will continue to produce parts by 2022.
