Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Defence (Millî Savunma Bakanlığı/ MSB) announced the completion of the repair of the BNS BIJOY corvette belonging to the Bangladesh Navy damaged by the explosion in Beirut.

For repair of the BNS Bijoy corvette belonging to the Bangladesh Navy, which was heavily damaged in a massive explosion in the Lebanese capital Beirut on August 4th, Turkey had commissioned the offshore tug to bring the A-590 TCG Inebolu to Aksaz by taking the platform.

BNS Bijoy served as part of the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon in Lebanon and was in Beirut Port at the time of the explosion.

The Bangladeshi corvette, which was repaired and prepared for operations, left Aksaz to continue his UNIFIL mission.
