Textron Systems has officially launched production of 65 Mobile Strike Force Vehicles (MSFV) at its Slidell facility in Louisiana, aiming to boost allied ground forces’ mobility and survivability on the battlefield. After months of intensive technical groundwork, this strategic production line has been brought back online, once again underscoring the company’s commitment to delivering fast and reliable equipment to its defence partners.
Part of the COMMANDO Select family, the MSFV platform is known for its high manoeuvrability in tough terrain and advanced protection features. Drawing on over sixty years of armoured vehicle technology, Textron Systems is channelling that expertise into this production line, offering combat-proven designs to troops in the field.
Comprehensive Production at the Slidell Facility
The Slidell facility has end-to-end production capabilities, from fabrication and welding all the way to complex system integration and testing. This setup not only meets high-volume production demands but also ensures vehicle quality and performance standards are maintained. A significant portion of the workforce on this line consists of seasoned personnel with decades of experience – many of whom worked on previous generations of COMMANDO vehicles.
