India, which accelerated its investments in the military sector, announced that it would procure additional tanks from Russia. The total cost of the purchase is expected to be 1.93 billion US Dollars within the scope. Delhi plans to procure 464 T-90MS main battle tanks.
The agreement with Rosoboronexport is expected to be signed this year. The Indian government plans to include the procurement process in the ’Make In India” program and to assemble the tanks at the Heavy Vehicles Factory.
