US announced that serial production phase is near for JAGM missile. In the statement made by the Army, it was announced that in the first place a total of 3000 JAGMs will be supplied, 1500 for the 2020 Budget and 1500 for the 2021 budget. Full rate production agreement was not signed and when will be signed is not announced.
JAGM, which has a tri-mode scanner includes semi-active laser, infrared imaging and millimeter wave, is planned to replace AGM-114 Hellfire, AGM-65 Maverick and BGM-71 TOW missiles in the US inventory.
