Iraq received a batch of two T-50 aircraft from the Republic of Korea on Wednesday as part of an agreement signed by Baghdad and Seoul in 2013. The $1,1 billion agreement covers 24 T-50 Golden Eagle fighter jets.
Iraqi Defense Ministry announced that the two-jet batch arrived at Martyr Mohammed Alaa airbase in Baghdad. The Ministry added that “a team of Iraqi pilots received training in South Korea and they are ready now to operate the T-50 jets.”
