STM Defense Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc., which develops innovative and indigenous systems within the Turkish defense industry, is enhancing NATO’s INT-CORE (Integration Core) technology with new capabilities. INT-CORE enables interoperability among NATO’s various information systems and facilitates strategic information flow. Moreover, STM’s NATO INT-CORE technology plays a significant role in Turkey’s international defense integration.
As part of projects led by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Defense Industries (SSB), STM continues to work with the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency), carrying out system modernization and the integration of new technological infrastructures. Between 2017 and 2022, the company provided maintenance and technical support services for the same project, and it is now leveraging its experience to take the system’s digital capabilities to the next level.
“Lake Diver” Technology in Data Management

Among the innovations STM brings to the INT-CORE project, developed to make NATO’s information systems more effective and accelerate decision-making processes, the “lake diver” technology stands out. STM’s NATO INT-CORE solution also offers advanced analytics for military data management. This technology consolidates large volumes of information from different battlefield systems into a “Data Lake,” establishing meaningful connections between the data and filtering the most critical information for decision-makers. Additionally, lake diver performs searches, filtering, and modeling within massive data sets, presenting the resulting strategic information to the military command through maps, thereby enhancing situational awareness on the field.
Exercise Processes and Strategic Support
STM General Manager Özgür Güleryüz stated that after the acceptance of the project’s 7th package, the new capabilities of INT-CORE will be actively used in CWIX, NATO’s largest digital exercise. STM’s NATO INT-CORE infrastructure also ensures more efficient digital exercise processes. To date, STM has made seven separate exports to NATO in the field of decision support systems and is also managing the INTEL-FS2 project, which will establish NATO’s intelligence infrastructure. Furthermore, the company continues to provide engineering support to NATO’s operational power through critical projects such as the strategic-level air command and control system AirC2IS and the “Integrated Resilience Decision Support Model,” which analyzes the impacts of strategic shocks like pandemics.
