President of Defence Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir made a statement about the effect of coronavirus on the defence industry. Demir stated that the defence should be handled from a holistic perspective in terms of the security of a country and the society and explained that they will support the health sector with the accumulation of the defence industry in this field. It is planned to use the technological competencies obtained from R&D studies carried out in TÜBİTAK and its institutes in the health sector.

Demir stated that they are working to prevent defects in critical defence industry production, R&D and technology development activities.
