Sarsılmaz new generation defence systems and SARBOT at SAHA EXPO 2026.

Sarsılmaz, which can meet the end-to-end needs of a single infantry unit, is redefining ammunition and platform integration standards on the modern battlefield with its 20mm 6-barrel gun system, which has a 95% domestic content rate. Combining nearly 150 years of engineering heritage with modern production lines, the company unveiled its indigenous systems to the public during a press tour held at its facilities in Düzce, ahead of SAHA EXPO 2026.

Sarsılmaz’s Mark on the Global Defense Arena

As one of the leading players in the defense industry, Sarsılmaz manages one of Europe’s largest firearms production centers, with exports to over 80 countries and an integrated manufacturing facility spanning 120,000 square meters. The company offers a wide product range—from pistols to heavy machine guns, and from medium-caliber cannons to robotic platforms—addressing the diverse needs of armed forces.

Featured Products and Technical Details

The new systems developed by Sarsılmaz and its group companies take operational capabilities to the next level:

TR Mekatronik 20 mm 6-Barrel Gun:
Developed by TR Mekatronik, a joint venture between Sarsılmaz and TUSAŞ, this system has a domestic content rate of over 95%. Designed using experience gained from the 3-barrel system used on T129 ATAK helicopters, the gun is built with components free from export restrictions.

LA2 Dynamics Next-Gen SARBOT: The latest version of Türkiye’s first armed robot, SARBOT, stands out with a 15 kg payload capacity, 80 minutes of operation time, and LIDAR + SLAM-based navigation. The robot can also climb over 220 mm obstacles and maneuver autonomously even in GPS-denied environments.

BEST Defence Low-Observable RCWS: Designed for low visibility, this 7.62 mm Remote Controlled Weapon System is compatible with civilian vehicles and features a “non-lethal” appearance, allowing it to be quickly activated when needed.

SAR 556 MT Light Machine Gun: Meeting Türkiye’s domestic needs in this category, this machine gun features a receiver with a 50,000-round service life. It can also operate reliably in harsh conditions ranging from -42°C to +71°C.

SAR Drone Killer: Developed against unmanned aerial vehicles, this 12-gauge system offers an effective solution to drone threats with its 7+1 round capacity and recoil-dampening mechanism.

SAR9 SP Special: Shaped by feedback from the Special Forces Command, this model is the high-performance, advanced version of the SAR9 series.

Latif Aral Aliş: “We Are Strengthening Turkish Engineering on a Global Scale”

Latif Aral Aliş, Chairman of the Board of Sarsılmaz, summed up the company’s technological transformation as follows: “Our journey, which began in Elazığ in 1880, has today turned into a deep engineering and technology heritage spanning nearly 150 years. At Sarsılmaz, we have never seen ourselves as just a manufacturer. We have positioned ourselves as a technology company that plays an active role in Türkiye’s defense industry transformation and helps shape the defense field.”

Aliş also emphasized that their goal is to take Turkish engineering to a stronger position on a global scale. Together with its group companies—BEST Defence, LA2 Dynamics, TR Mekatronik, and BPS—Sarsılmaz continues to produce every kind of solution modern armies need.
