July 23, 2020Rafale Fighters to Be Delivered to India by End of The Month
Dassault Rafale multi-role fighters which are delayed due to India's COVID-19, will be delivered at the end of the month.
According to information from New Delhi, five aircraft will arrive at Ambala Air Base in the north of the country on July 29, depending on the weather conditions.
“Air and ground personnel underwent extensive training on the aircraft. Our mission-ready team aims to accelerate the time the aircraft is operational.” The Indian Air Force said.
In 2016, India signed a contract with France-based company Dassault to buy 36 Rafale for €7.9 billion.
France, India, Qatar and Egypt also use Rafale aircraft.
