ASELSAN announced that on 23 March 2018, a contract was signed between ASELSAN and the Turkish Ministry of National Defence valued at 264 million 183 thousand Turkish Liras regarding the Precision Guidance Kit (HGK) Project. Deliveries under the contract will take place between 2019-2020.

The guidance kit is used to convert 2,000lb MK-84 and NEB bombs to smart munitions. Mid-level HGK equipped munitions can reach 12 nautical miles, while it can hit targets from 15 nautical miles when launched from high altitudes. The target to be hit by the HGK-equipped bombs is again illuminated by the ASELSAN-produced Engerek Laser Range Finder.
