Equipped with Pantsir-M air defense system, Project 22800 class corvette is preparing to enter the Russian inventory.
According to Russian officials, the Project 22800 Karakurt Class Odintsovo corvette, equipped with the System of Pantsyr -M, began acceptance tests. The system can neutralize guided anti-aircraft missiles at a range of 20 km and an altitude of 15 km.
A total of 18 platforms are planned to be built from the Karakurt Class corvettes equipped with Kalibr-NK cruise missiles and a modernized AK-176MA 76.2mm artillery system. Russia's Baltic Fleet currently has two Projects 22800 corvettes.
