General Dynamics Mission Systems has been awarded a $184 million contract for the full-rate production and sustainment of Next Generation Electronic Attack Units (NGEAU) for the U.S. Navy. The contract reflects the company’s commitment to making platforms and systems smarter and more secure.
Enhancing Electronic Warfare Capabilities with NGEAU
The contract, awarded in September, establishes a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) procurement arrangement for full-rate production. Sustainment activities will be carried out under a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.
Scott Dunderdale, Vice President and General Manager of Land and Air Systems at General Dynamics Mission Systems, expressed pride in supporting the Navy’s EA-18G Growler modernization through NGEAU. He stated that the contract advances the production and sustainment of a resilient, open-architecture capability designed to help ensure the fleet can rapidly adapt to evolving electronic warfare threats.
Under the contract, NGEAU will enter full-rate production as part of the U.S. Navy’s EA-18G Growler Block II modernization program. Production and sustainment activities will begin at General Dynamics Mission Systems’ facility in Bloomington, Minnesota, and continue through 2032.
