India, which significantly increased its naval investment, continues its steps in this area. The Indian Defence Procurement Council approved the new submarine construction program.
The platforms will be built in India with local facilities in line with the Government of India's Make In India policy. Under the 5,573 billion USD program, six Scorpène class-based submarines will be constructed under the name of Project 75(I).
