Neros secured an order for 14,000 UAVs and explosive payloads with its Archer FPV systems after placing first in Close Quarters Battle and third in Deep Strike during the U.S. Drone Dominance Program’s Gauntlet II phase. The order is valued at more than $100 million.
In addition to the 14,000 UAVs, Neros also received an order for 800 additional UAVs linked to Gauntlet I, reallocated from other manufacturers that were unable to meet their delivery schedules. Under this order, the U.S. Department of Defense is prioritizing procurement of Neros’ flagship 10-inch Archer AI UAV, which features Terminal Guidance. Archer AI is designed for environments where communications are denied, while its smaller 5-inch Archer variant is intended primarily for close-quarters combat in urban and indoor environments. The Department is also placing significant orders for the 5-inch Archer systems.
Neros CEO Soren Monroe-Anderson said the Archer FPV system was developed to be modular and easily adaptable to end-user requirements. He added that the Drone Dominance program tests both manufacturers’ ability to develop high-performance drones and their capacity to produce these systems in large quantities within a short period.

Under Gauntlet II, Neros will also carry out the first large-scale delivery of UAVs equipped with Adaptive Payload Exchange (APEX). Developed by Neros, APEX is an open-source, low-cost standard designed for modular payload integration on small UAVs. The system enables military operators to switch in real time between conventional, fiber, repeater and future payloads in the field.
