Israel is in the process of renegotiation with the United States to buy the V-22 Osprey.
Israel, which has been seeking to buy the Bell-Boeing co-production air platform since 2012, suspended its Osprey purchase in February 2020 due to budget concerns. Israel wants to begin the new negotiation process by purchasing 12 V-22 Ospreys, an additional AE 1107C Rolls Royce Engine and AN/AAQ-27 infrared radar.
The platform, which has the capabilities of landing and hanging in the air, is operationally used in operations support, mine scanning, transport and search and rescue missions. Osprey is also capable of replenishing in the air.
