India carries out validation trials of its indigeniously manufactured artillery gun Dhanush in the Himalayas. According to local sources, the trials are the final phase before serial production of the towed howitzer. Dhanush 155 mm design is based on Swedish Bofors’ FH-77B, which India acquired in the 1980s.
