Canik is shortlisted with another three participiants in tender for the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), where 10 global companies were invited with TP-9.

The CBP, which is affiliated to the US Department of Homeland Security, started the tender by setting tough standards. Ten companies with local structuring took place in the US and short-listed companies were announced on November 29th. It is announced that the contract will be signed with the winning company with a minimum amount of 10 years and USD 85 million. In the competition, which was attended by a product family with full, compact and Sub-compact models, 70% component interchange of the models were requested. Canik participated in the tender with TP-9LE (Law Enforcement) family for Truglo for tritium sighting, Trijicon and Leupold for holographic sighting, and Otis Technology for cleaning kit. Competing models were trialed to strength, high temperature, low temperature, dispersion, velocity, vibration and drop tests and a total of 110,000 high-pressure bullets were fired.
