The countdown for Brazil's first Gripen E is moving. Sweden made a statement about the final assembly process of the platform.

The second phase of the final platform was started. In the second phase, components such as auxiliary power unit, engine, radar, canopy and windshield components will be assemblied. The work going on in Linköping will follow the third and final installation phase. At this stage, the software infrastructure of the platform will be installed and simulation tests will be done on the ground. The aircraft will be delivered to Brazil later this year after the completion of these phases. The final delivery process will begin in 2021.
