February 19, 2019China Displays Laser System at IDEX
China presents its Poly Defence’s Silent Hunter truck-mounted laser weapons system at IDEX 2019. According to Poly Defence representative’s, the Silent Hunter is capable of targeting small unmanned aerial systems, and other airborne threats. According to written statements, the laser has a maximum range of 4 kilometres at 30kW, and a minimum range of 200 meters at 10kW of power. The laser itself was mounted on a heavy truck, presumably carrying the power-generation and other support needed for the laser.
