The U.S. Department of State approved a total of seven UH-60M sales to the Kingdom of Jordan and Lithuania. According to the US Defence and Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), one of these helicopters is for Jordan and the remaining six are for Lithuania. Jordan will pay $ 23 million for a single helicopter, and Lithuania will pay a total of $ 380 million for six helicopters. If Lithuania's helicopters were in the same configuration of Jordan, they would have cost $ 138 million instead of 380 million.
The helicopter platform and engine to be supplied by the two countries will have the same feature. Lithuania will add many weapons and systems, especially two additional spare engines for six helicopters. The equipment difference of the helicopter that the two countries will buy also gives an idea about the missions. The Jordanian helicopter will probably fly for VIP transportation. That helicopter will be equipped with one (1) Common Missile Warning System. Also included is one (1) AN/APR-39 Radar Signal Detecting Set; one (1) AN/AVR-2B Laser Detecting Set; two (2) AN-ARC-231 Radios; two (2) AN-ARC-201D Radios; one (1) AN/APX-123A Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Transponder; two (2) Embedded Global Positioning System with Inertial Navigation (EGIs); one (1) Common Missile Warning System User Data Module; Aviation Mission Planning System (AMPS); AMPS software development and support services; and other related elements of logistical, engineering, and program support.
The helicopters supplied by Lithuania will be configured for special force operations probably. It is seen that the helicopter is expected to participate in the operation in day and night conditions. For this reason, the equipment will be; fourteen (14) T700-GE-701D engines (12 installed and 2 spares); eight (8) AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) (6 production and 2 spares); twelve (12) M240H machine guns.
