February 16, 2018Belgium Became Fifth Member in NATO Program
Belgium signed an agreement to join A330 multirole air-to-air refuelling aircraft program at the NATO's defence ministerial conference held in Brussels. The agreement makes Belgium the fifth member of the program after Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany and Norway.
The first two aircraft were purchased by the Netherlands and Luxembourg in 2016. The number of platforms to be produced upon Belgium's participation in the program will rise to eight, with a scheduled deployment between 2020 and 2024.
