Iraq has taken delivery of the first batch of T-90 main battle tanks from Russia late last week. Although the number of tanks delivered has not been revealed, images released from the port on 15 February confirmed the delivery. 

According to the annual report by the manufacturer of the tanks, UralVagonZavod, suggests that over 70 T-90s would be supplied to Iraq in 2017.  'Mena Defense' reported that “The Iraqi army has recently received a batch of about 10 BMP 3 armoured vehicles, which have been concomitant with the delivery of T90S and SK tanks. Iraq received last week the first batch of 10 T90 S and SK on the 73 ordered.”
