In this context, 17 of the platforms with an average flight time of around 9,700 are retired in 2021 and stored in the 309th AMARG stationed in Tucson, Arizona. If the decision is finalized, the number of B-1B Lancers, whose service lives are extended until 2037, will decrease from 62 to 45 in the USA inventory.
