The US State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Bahrain of AH-1Z attack helicopters for an estimated cost of $911.4 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on 27 April.Â
The Government of Bahrain has requested 12 AH-1Z attack helicopters along with associated sustainment and support equipment, as well as weapons including 14 AGM-114 Hellfire Missiles and 56 APKWS-IIs.
