The Norwegian Navy's KMN Helge Ingstad recently collided with Maltese tanker Sola TS while returning from the Trident Juncture 18 Exercise. The ship did not escape the sinking.

After the collision, the ship was heavily damaged and stranded to prevent it from sinking. The 5500-ton KMN Helge Ingstad, lying 45 degree to the starboard after being stranded. Reasons are investigating cause of the accident. It is thought that Sola TS was spotted ship too late due to KMN Helge Ingstad cruising in stealth mode and the platforms did not contact enough before the accident. It is not known how much the missile and ammunition sank with the frigate where the crew was evacuated after the accident. It is stated that 80% of the systems are damaged and 10 tons of jet fuel infiltrated into the sea.
