The TAYFUN Ballistic Missile, developed domestically by Roketsan, has successfully completed a new test launch.
Haluk Görgün, President of the Defense Industry, expressed his gratitude to Roketsan for the successful test launch via his social media account. In his post, he stated: “A quiet preparation, a single moment, and a signature drawn in the sky. A beautiful day, another successful trial. With determined steps, the range extends, and strike accuracy increases.”
New Developments and Strategic Emphases from Roketsan and the Turkish Armed Forces
Following the successful test firing, important new statements were released both by Roketsan and by Roketsan’s CEO Murat İkinci. These statements revealed the operational stage the missile has reached.
Roketsan emphasizes a “lot acceptance firing”:
In a post on its official social media account, Roketsan announced that TAYFUN’s activity was not merely a test but the lot acceptance firing—the final stage before entry into the Turkish Armed Forces’ inventory—successfully completed:
“Long-range assurance of our deterrence: #TAYFUN. With its precision strike capability and superior performance, TAYFUN hit the designated target coordinates exactly in the lot acceptance firing. With systems developed using domestic and national capabilities, we will continue to further strengthen the power and deterrence of our Armed Forces.”

Roketsan CEO Murat İkinci also made a striking statement regarding the Turkish Armed Forces’ ballistic missile stocks:
