STM’s National Systems Are Moving to Three Continents

STM will take part in three defence exhibitions in September, held in Poland, South Africa and Azerbaijan. At these fairs, the company will showcase a wide range of products, from the Istif-Class Frigate to the KARGU loitering munition, from autonomous underwater systems to next-generation strike systems.

STM Defence Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc. continues to carry its engineering capabilities into international markets as part of its export-driven growth strategy. As part of its September trade fair calendar, the company will attend MSPO 2026 in Poland, Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) 2026 in South Africa, and ADEX 2026 in Azerbaijan.

First Stop on the Fair Calendar: MSPO 2026 (Poland)

STM’s first stop on its trade fair calendar will be MSPO 2026, held September 8-11 in Kielce, Poland. There, the company will display models of the Replenishment and Logistics Support Ship built for the Portuguese Navy and representing Türkiye’s first military vessel export to an EU and NATO member state alongside Türkiye’s first domestically built frigate, the Istif-Class Frigate, the STM MPAC assault boat, and the compact submarine STM500. On the unmanned maritime systems side, the STM NETA 300 autonomous underwater vehicle and the swarm-capable kamikaze unmanned surface vessel STM YAKTU will also be on display.

In unmanned aerial systems, European military delegations and industry professionals will get a look at KARGU Türkiye’s first indigenous strike drone, field-proven and exported to more than 15 countries across four continents the TOGAN Mini UAV designed for reconnaissance and surveillance, the TUNGA-X interceptor drone built to down enemy UAVs mid-air, and the KUZGUN long-range kamikaze drone system with a range exceeding 1,000 kilometers.

African Stop: AAD 2026 Defence Exhibition

STM’s second stop on the fair calendar will be Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) 2026, held September 16-20 in Pretoria, South Africa. In the naval domain, the Istif-Class Frigate, the Pakistan Fleet Tanker designed and built for the Pakistan Navy and delivered in 2018 the STM MPAC assault boat and the STM500 submarine will be presented to African military delegations.

The STM NETA 300 will represent the unmanned maritime systems lineup. On the unmanned aerial side, international delegations at AAD 2026 will be shown KARGU, the vertical takeoff and landing TURUL VTOL UAV, the TOGAN UAV integrated with the KERKES system for operation in GNSS-denied environments, the TOGAN Mini UAV, and the TUNGA-X interceptor drone.

A Defence Industry Fair in Azerbaijan: ADEX 2026

STM will round out its September fair calendar with ADEX 2026, taking place September 30-October 2 in Baku, Azerbaijan. In the naval segment, the ADA-Class Corvette developed under the MILGEM Project along with the STM MPAC assault boat and STM NETA 300 will meet visitors. In unmanned aerial systems, KARGU (already in service with Azerbaijan), the TOGAN Mini UAV, and the TUNGA-X interceptor drone will be presented to military delegations and industry professionals at ADEX 2026.

The Number Behind STM’s Global Growth: More Than 65% of Revenue Comes from Exports

STM General Manager Özgür Güleryüz said, “At STM, while we strengthen the Turkish Armed Forces with the advanced technologies we have developed over 35 years, we continue our global growth by bringing our engineering capabilities to friendly and allied nations.”

Güleryüz noted that the company has carried out 44 military shipbuilding projects across 11 different shipyards at home and abroad, that its UAV systems are in service in the inventories of more than 15 countries across four continents, and that more than 65% of the company’s revenue now comes from exports.

Exhibition Calendar

Taking place back-to-back in September, these three exhibitions mark one of the busiest stretches on STM’s defence trade fair calendar, and stand as a concrete reflection of its export-driven growth strategy.
