Steel Cutting Ceremony for Pakistan’s Third MİLGEM

PN MİLGEM Project within the scope of the third of the corvettes to be exported to Pakistan was held in the steel cutting ceremony.

The keel laying ceremony of the first MİLGEM type corvette for Pakistan Navy was held on June 4 at Istanbul Shipyard Command. Steel cutting ceremony was held for the third platform at Pakistan's Karachi Shipyard today.

The contract covering technology transfer and co-production for platforms was signed between ASFAT Inc. and Pakistan in 2018. A total of four corvettes will be supplied under the agreement. Two of the ships will be built in Turkey and the remaining two will be built in Pakistan.

The first two of the vessels are scheduled to be delivered in 2023.
