Rheinmetall AG and Lockheed Martin Cooperate for Germany’s Helicopter

The German Navy is in search of a new helicopter. In this respect, Germany is now looking for a new platform to replace the Sea Lynx helicopters in its inventory. For the time being, two platforms are expected to replace the platforms, which will start to retire 2025. The first of these is the MH-60R Seahawk helicopters. Rheinmetall AG and Lockheed Martin have announced that they will participate in the tender together. Another candidate is the NH90 Sea Lion. For this helicopter, Airbus will be bidding.

A total of 4.6 billion US dollars helicopter procurement is planned. 21 the Sea Lynx helicopters serve in the German Navy.
