Process started for Saudi Ships

The US signed an agreement with Lockheed Martin for FMS (Foreign Military Sales). Under the agreement, company will conduct detailed design works for Saudi Arabia.

Lockheed Martin will carry out detailed design works for ships to be procured by Saudi Arabia under the agreement, which has a total cost of US $ 282,085 million. The first agreement for MMSC (Multi Mission Surface Combattant) platforms was signed in November 2017. Saudi Arabia will procure four units in total. The total cost of ships to be heavily armed than the Freedom class LCS (Littoral Combat Ship) platforms is US $ 6 billion. Ships are scheduled to be delivered in October 2025.
