February 7, 2018Ninth Vessel Meets With The Sea
China's People’s Liberation Army Navy's (PLAN's) ninth Dongdiao-class (Type 815/815A) auxiliary general intelligence ship has been launched on 3 February at the Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard in Shanghai.
The Dongdiao-class vessels displace 6,000 tons and have a top speed of around 20 knots. Featuring an overall length of 130 meters and an overall beam of 16,4 meters, the ship is armed with two sets of primary guns; one 37 mm cannon and two 25 mm cannons.
