India's indigenius oceanic surveillance ship has started the harbor trials. After these tests which are continuing at Vishakhapatnam where is east of India, sea trials will begin at the end of 2018. Ship has also missile tracking capability.
The ship, which will be transferred to the National Technical Research Organization (NTRO) after the tests, has a displacement of 15,000 tons. The ship, which will collect electronic intelligence (ELINT) information, will also support India's ballistic missile defence program. Among NTRO staff in ship crew, scientists from the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) also serve.
