New Hydrographic Ships On The Way

Russia, which modernizing its armed forces and invested heavily in the navy in this field, has announced that it will build new platforms. In particular, the Russian Navy, directed to combat ships, requested additional support vessels to support the activities in the sea.

 

Accordingly, Moscow approved the construction of new hydrographic research vessels. The approved file includes two Project 19910 class, two Project 23040G, two Project 19920 and three Project 23370G class hydrographic survey vessels. Currently, it is reported that two Project 19910 are under construction and will be delivered in 2019 and 2020. At the same time, the construction of two Project 19920 construction to be deployed in the North and Pacific Fleet has begun. It is reported that construction activities of Project 23370G class platforms will start as of 2021.
