Modernised Tanks Delivered

The Russian Federation, which continues its activities in order to increase the capabilities of the army and meet the requirements of the modern battlefield, receives modernized systems.

The Russian Ground Forces received the first batch of modernized T-90M Proryv main battle tanks. The platforms, which were delivered to the Western Military District Command, the responsibility area of which is the border of Eastern Europe, were assigned to mechanized units.

The T-90s, whose design work dates back to the end of the 1980s, have been on the serial production line and numerous user inventory since 1994. Unlike the mass production standard, a new turret and a more powerful engine were preferred in Proryvs. The platform, which can operate in any environment, day and night, has a data system that enables data sharing with other vehicles, especially T-14 Armatas. The surfaces of the tanks are equipped with anti-slip coatings, which are also used in T-14 Armata. Platforms with increased survivability with Relikt reactive armour system were equipped with the 2A82-1M main gun, also used in T-14s. The mobility of the platforms, where the 1130 HP V-92S2F turbocharged diesel engine is integrated, has also been increased.
