India has added a new one to its recent arms purchases. In this context, India has signed an agreement with IAI for Barak 8 procurement. This agreement costs US $ 777.
Agreement has signed with the Indian state-owned company Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), according to the Israeli-based IAI announcement. Barak 8 missiles will be integrated into the seven additional ships in the Indian Navy inventory. In addition to supplying missiles, BEL will also procure command and control systems with launching systems.
The Barak-8 air defence system was developed for the navies of the two countries in partnership with the IAI, the Israeli Ministry of Defence and the India-based DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organization).
