LM to Manufacture THAAD Interceptors for Saudi Arabia

The Pentagon has given $2.4 billion to Lockheed Martin for the production of A Terminal High Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) interceptors, some of these missiles are destined for Saudi Arabia.

The Gulf State signed a letter of acceptance to buy the air defence missile system in November last year. The $15 billion deal was seen as paving the way for the sale of 44 THAAD launchers, missiles and equipment.
