A signature ceremony was held for the “Lightning Test Facility” of the Turkish Fighter Programme Project (TF-X) between the Turkish Aviation and Space Industry and Hizal companies. The facility will be used to test the effects of possible lightning currents during the development phase of the MMU.

Direct and indirect effects of lightning will be tested during the development of TF-X at the Lightning Test Facility. The infrastructure of the facility will be established on an area of approximately 4 thousand square meters, and it will be performed by Hızal company that has experience on high voltage.

The facility, is expected to be completed in 2022.
