China's fifth-generation stealth fighter J-20 participate in its first combat exercise. People’s Liberation Army Air Force said in a news release on Thursday that several J-20s took part in a series of combat exercises against the less-advanced J-16 and J-10C. The exercises took place in an undisclosed air base and lasted nine days. The military said J-20s practised beyond-visual-range aerial fighting manoeuvres during these drills, without elaborating.
China conducted the maiden flight of the J-20 in January 2011.Â
