The F-35A Lightning II fighter jets of the Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare) will participate in the UNIQUE 2019 air force drill, which will begin on 1 April 2019.

Italy will send its all six F-35A fighters to join the drill and they will carry Luneburg radar reflectors during their transition to and from the Andravida Airbase as well as throughout their participation in the exercise. The Luneberg radar reflector increases radar cross section (RCS) of aircraft. This precaution helps to hide stealth features of aircraft.
