UAV Factory, a developer of fixed-wing unmanned aerial systems (UAS), has announced it has signed an agreement with the Latvian Ministry of Defence to provide UAVs for the country’s National Armed Forces (LNAF). LNAF has selected UAV Factory to supply the with an undisclosed number of its latest Penguin C long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The UAVs will be equipped with advanced electro-optical/infrared gyro-stabilised sensors. UAV will be used to enhance the LNAF’s aerial surveillance and indirect fire support capabilities. It will also conduct search-and-rescue (SAR) operations. The UAV has an endurance of up to 20 hours.
