India has successfully test-fired a Dhanush missile, a short-range ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead, from a warship off the coast of Odisha on 23 February. According to officials, Dhanush met all the mission objectives.
The missile, developed by India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has a range of 350 kilometres and can carry a warhead up to 500 kg.
